Heavy duty welding blankets, capable of holding molten metal droplets until cold, without burning through the fabric surface.

Texturized E-glass fabrics, woven in Elland, West Yorkshire. Treated with vermiculite dispersion to improve this ranges performance up to 1000deg C*. The mineral based aqueous dispersion treatment provides a coating of platelets which at high temperatures meld to protect the glass fibres from a direct heat source

THS’ Weldblock range comes in multiple weights, starting at 680gsm up to 2200gsm.

These fabrics are tough, durable and up for the challenge.

Weldblock fabrics can be supplied in many ways; on a roll, as a pre-cut blanket, hemmed and with/without eyelets. These fabrics can be used in a variety of ways; vertically, hung, suspended or draped, for heavy duty sparks to protect the surrounding environment or even horizontally, laid on the floor to catch molten metal droplets.

Other versions of the weldblock range are readily available, with additional coatings, such as silicone and neoprene rubber, as well as other polymers, e.g. acrylic, PU etc.
