Treatments, Coatings, Disperations & Laminations

Industrial fabrics are used within a large variety of applications, a lot of which you would not expect, some are for welding protection, others for super-car engines, and all the others in between.

The base fabric is the first step to the final product, and is chosen in accordance to the application, but the finish, is what sets a product apart.

Coatings;

Generally polymers, such as Silicone Rubber, Neoprene, PU, Acrylic, PTFE, Viton, Vamac, Hypalon – and many more!

Laminations;

Generally films or foils, such as aluminium foil, PES (melinex), stainless steel foil, but also some forms of PTFE and Silicone rubber can be applied this way.

Dispersions;

Generally encapsulating treatments, of liquid mineral based solutions, which when dry provides a full fabric covering – this can be done on either the fabric in full or the individual yarns prior to weaving.

All treatments can be made to have specialist adaptations, such as;

Anti-static or conductive surfaces on one or both faces

Indicating pigments for chemical presence

Extreme chemical resistance

Cryogenic capabilities

Many fabrics are available as a standard article, and many have been tested to specific standards, such as ATEX, EN13501, BS476, IMO, FMVSS302 and many more.
